Titled “Before Execution”
March 1, 1914
Kishinev to Paris
Rue Vieille du Temple 41
29/13 of February Friday. Bon soir, mon chere amie, Polichka. It is 11:00 in the evening and I just came back home and thought that I would find a letter from you but was very disappointed. I wanted to write a letter, but I can’t. I am terribly tired. I barely can sit. Please take this image and tomorrow morning I am going to write to you. Is it okay? Is it good? Every day I am sending a newspaper. Please write many letters to me. I received a card from you yesterday, and I was very happy about the fact that you went to the opera. I am advising you to go there as often as you can. Please write to me and greetings from my heart. Dada and Uncle Ukh. Bon moten.
