08/12 Polya started her job.
08/18 she brought her first money 4 Dollars and 21 cents from which 2 dollars and 25 cents we put aside towards our main funds.

Notes to remember.
On Sunday, May 25th 1914 at 6 o’clock in the evening I left behind Kishinev and my parent’s house. On the 30th of the same month I arrived to Paris. It was Friday, 10 o’clock in the morning. We left Paris on July 3d, 1914 (according to a new calendar). Entered the ship on 07/04 at 8:50 in the evening. North dam American Line. In port Boulogne Sur-mer in France.

At 4 o’clock in the afternoon we left Kesol-Garda. From the 15th to the 16th of July we spent time with Clara in New York. On 07/16 at 6 o’clock in the evening we departed to Chicago and arrived there on Friday, July 17th at 8 o’clock in the morning.
08/12 Polya got the job, and on 09/04 I got the job at “Chicago.” On December 2, 1914 we left Chicago, and arrived to New York on the 3d of the same month. We spent several days in Newark.
On the 15 of December 1914 we quartered ourselves in Bronx, New York in the apartment of Frachtenberg.
Today is Monday, May 25th 1915. One year has passed since I left Kishinev and my parents’ house and toddled abroad.
Today is Wednesday, July 14th 1915. One year has passed since we arrived to America.
A note to remember.
On December 26th 1915 at 6 ¾ o’clock in the morning there was a strong thunderstorm with lightning and snow.
May 25th 1916 the second year has passed since I left my parents’ house.
June 14th 1916 – two years since we have lived in America.
We got married on February 28, 1916.
